TVS Motor Company Limited is the second largest two-wheeler and three-wheeler manufacturer in India producing scooters, motorcycles, mopeds and three-wheelers. It ranks amongst the top ten two-wheeler companies in the world, distributing to over 60 countries. The Company was started in 1979 as the flagship brand of TVS Group, which was founded by T.V. Sundaram lyengar. Under the persistence and diligent leadership of the Chairman & MD, Venu Srinivasan, the company has become the largest member of the TVS Group in terms of size and turnover. Headquartered in Chennai, TVS Motor Company has created new industry benchmarks with the introduction of the mopeds, premium scooters and scooty categories. TVS Motor Company has four state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities at Hosur in Tamil Nadu, Mysore in Karnataka, Nalagarh in Himachal Pradesh and Karawang in Indonesia and is the first two-wheeler manufacturer in the world to be conferred with the prestigious Deming Prize for excellence in quality. The superior quality of products has also been acknowledged as the best by JD Power Study for three years in a row. TVS Motor Company also won top honours in the recently concluded JD Power Customer Satisfaction Index with After-Sales Service. The Company’s various products lead in their respective categories in the JD Power IQS and APEAL surveys for the past three years and it was ranked No. 1 in the JD Power Customer Service Satisfaction Survey for consecutive two years. At the Economic Times Award for Corporate Excellence 2016, TVS Motor Company was awarded the Corporate Citizen of the Year. TVS Motor Company also won the “Bike Manufacturer of the Year” award at Times Auto Awards 2018.
