About The WikiDoc Foundation
WikiDoc is the world's largest, free, living textbook of medicine. We are a 509(a)(1), non profit charitable organization, and take no industry support for our content. As a publication, we have over 199,000 chapters that have been updated over 750,000 times by over 7,000 contributors. To date, our site has been viewed over 140 million times each year. WikiDoc is different from other medical education initiatives in a few ways ways: we are not industry funded and aim to be unbiased, we provide our content free of charge, and we are copyleft which means that all content is accessible and able to be shared widely. In addition, WikiDoc is unique as it serves as a collaborative effort between all members of the medical community. Our contributors range from medical doctors, researchers, students and other professionals from all over the world.
