Information
Like walking into a little piece of Thailand, Thaikhun restaurants have transported the entire Thai street food market experience to the UK. Owned jointly by Kim Kaewkraitkhot and Martin Stead, Thaikhun is inspired by Kim's stories of running her own small restaurant in Bangkok. Kim's food was renowned by locals for it's fantastic flavours, especially her award-winning Phad Thai recipe. 2014 saw the first Thaikhun open introducing Thai street food to the city of Manchester. Thaikhun has been welcomed with open arms and now is home to restaurants all across the UK, including Aberdeen, Glasgow, Oxford, Cambridge, Nottingham, Newcastle, Guildford, Bath and Southampton. Upon walking into any of our restaurants you will see each location is bursting at the seams with hand-picked bric-a-brac from Thailand. Thaikhun is so much more than just a restaurant. Perfect for family fun, date nights or work get-togethers, our infectiously lively atmosphere is perfect for any occasion. Whether or not you’ve been to the 'Land of smiles' before, we invite you to remise and create new memories at Thaikhun. Throughout Thaikhun journey, we have held our four core values of 'Ow Jai Sai' (caring from the heart), 'Samakee' (togetherness), 'Ha Dao' (To give 5 star service) and mostly importantly, 'Sanook' (To have fun) close to our heart investing time and care into our team and their training. Our vision is to continue to develop the best of Thai within the UK. More restaurants are planned with a number of sites having already being earmarked, the Thaikhun journey has just begun!
