Stark

Stark is Stark Group’s Danish chain of builders’ merchants. Until October 2004, the name of the division was DDT Detail, and all the stores in the division carried their own local names. However, in connection with a major branding project in October 2004, the division established a nation-wide cooperation and a common identity for all of its stores under the new name “Stark”. The primary customers are builders and DIY builders, the latter being professionalised consumers who comprise the group between typical consumer DIYers and professional builders. Professional customers are served from the builders’ merchant outlets, where they have access to more than 600,000 products – the most widely used are carried in stock and the rest can be ordered when requested by customers – and access to professional advice on all phases of the building process. In addition, about half the stores also have a DIY section where consumer DIYers can choose from a wide and well-assorted product range.
