Quartics QVU is a fully programmable architecture, which means that Quartics devices are capable of processing any existing or future video codec standards. Further, Quartics deploys QVU in a low cost, low power semiconductor that, when coupled with our proprietary pre- and post-processing image enhancement algorithms, provides a unique and unmatched video processing solution for OEMs and ODMs. Video processing is becoming key in many market segments and devices, so the end markets for Quartics devices are unlimited. Quartics devices are ideally suited for the mobile PC market which requires dramatically improved video performance and low power at a low cost point. Quartics' unique programmable architecture makes it ideal for connected box applications, such as Set-top Box and TVs, where manufacturers require the ability to implement new capabilities (e.g., place shifting, video conferencing), all the while providing a rich HD experience.
