Pharma Dynamics was founded in September 2001 by former CEO, Paul Anley. Determined to take on the big players in the pharmaceutical industry, Anley and his team set about implementing the company’s mission to become a world-class marketer and distributor of healthcare products in southern Africa. From the outset, the company focused on the provision of generic medicine, essential in a country such as South Africa where access to healthcare is often severely limited. In the short space of thirteen years, the company is today not only the market leader in the Cardiovascular (CVS) market in South Africa according to independent international market research (IMS March 2014), but also the fastest growing pharmaceutical company in SA amongst the top 10 companies. Pharma Dynamics has enjoyed average year on year growth of 25 % to 40 % and currently employs a staff complement in excess of 145 people. The company has also successfully entered other treatment categories, including the Central Nervous System (CNS), Female Healthcare and Gastrointestinal categories, and more recently launched a range of anti-infectives (TB and antibiotics). A range of Over the Counter (OTC) products completes Pharma Dynamics’ growing portfolio.
