Established in 1927, the Pennsylvania Department of Revenue is charged with collecting and distributing most of the tax monies due to the commonwealth. The scope of services and programs provided by the department affect every business and citizen in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. The department is responsible for administering the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania’s tax programs and services. This includes collecting most tax levies, as well as various fees, fines and other monies due the commonwealth.
