Suzhou Neway Machine Tool Research Institute is gathered with 140 engineers specialized on design, research and development of CNC machine tools at present. Among them, there are 26 senior engineers, 68 engineers, 8 graduate students with master’s degree and 30 graduates recruited in 2009.

The Research Institute plans to expand its research and development (R&D) team to 300 people in the following five years and to become the largest high-end CNC machine tool R&D base in China.

R&D contents:

Base on popularization type medium and high end CNC machine tools

Develop high end CNC machine tools

Develop heavy CNC machine tools

Develop multi-spindle, compounded and specialized machine tools

Develop stand-alone CNC machine tools into automatic machining lines

Adopting the three dimensional computer aided design software Pro-E

Strict design cycle and intact design criterion

Establishing machine tool lab

R&D direction:

Research on the high long-time accuracy of the machine tool, paying more attention to keeping accuracy as well as raising precision of the machine tool

Test and research on the reliability of the machine tool, paying more attention to reliability as well as performance of the machine tool

Research on modern design theory and method, applying the latest design theory and the most advanced design method into the design of the machine tool
