About New York Jets

The New York Jets are a professional football team headquartered in Florham Park, New Jersey, representing the New York metropolitan area. It is a privately owned business with under 200 employees. Founded more than 50 years ago, the Jets franchise has defined itself as a trailblazer, trendsetter and leader in the region’s sports landscape and across the NFL.

Since Chairman and CEO Woody Johnson purchased the team in 2000, the team has undergone a major revitalization and rebranding, focused on winning both on and off the field. For Johnson, capturing the franchise’s second championship is priority #1. Under his ownership, the team has posted seven winning seasons, appeared in seven postseason games, including two AFC Championship Game appearances, and winning an AFC East division title in 2002. They have also made strides off the field with the opening of two state-of-the-art homes: the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center in 2008 and MetLife Stadium in 2010.

Honored as one of NJ Biz’s 2018 Best Places to Work in New Jersey. This award recognizes and honors New Jersey-based employers who show dedication to their employees’ professional growth and quality of life.
