At Mayfield Robotics, we are the creators of Kuri, the world's most adorable home robot. Learn more at heykuri.com. We introduced Kuri at CES 2017, where we won "Best of CES" awards and nominations from Engadget, Wired, PC Magazine, and others.
As a company, we are driven to make home robots that are joyful, useful, and inspiring. We move fast, we like and respect each other, and we have some very big ambitions. And we’re still growing.
We operate with all the best aspects of being a startup: speed, transparency, teamwork, clear goals, and a well-stocked kitchen. We also have the focus and discipline of a company that is committed to shipping. We were founded in February of 2015, and we’re based in sunny Redwood City, California - the epicenter of both Silicon Valley and the future of robotics.
Our team is now over 60 people, with experience launching a wide range of new technologies, from medical devices, to software platforms, to 3D cameras, and a few other things that we can’t even talk about. We’re well past proof-of-concept; our on-site robot workshop allows us to build and iterate on our prototypes in real time, our 3D printers hum constantly, and we’ve already shipped our first wave of robots to customers! We’re also uniquely secure: Mayfield is part of the Bosch Startup Platform, providing us the stability we need along with strategic latitude and creative independence.
As a team, we're visionary engineers, researchers, and designers, and we’re surprisingly friendly and extroverted. Our team outings are legendary, we barrel age our happy hour cocktails, we have extremely unboring swag, and our Slack channels can be...entertaining.
Perks we hand out like candy:
Healthy lunches and snacks
Coffee and teas you haven’t even heard of yet
Whatever computer makes you happy
Generous vacation
Free laundry service
Caltrain passes
Gym membership
Sometimes, actual candy
But seriously. We’re making amazing home robots.
