Luminar is an autonomous vehicle sensor and software company with the vision to power transportation by delivering the only lidar capable of making them both safe and ubiquitous. We rebuilt lidar from the chip-level up to meet the stringent performance and safety requirements. Armed with this technology and our break-through perception software, we're now working with 7 of the top 10 automakers - and are the first to power series-production autonomy in the real world. Founded in 2012, Luminar is a 350-person team across Palo Alto, Orlando and Colorado Springs, and has raised more than $250M from prominent venture funds.
