LEAP is a leading nonprofit creative youth development organization dedicated to promoting equity and access to the arts for New York City children underserved in the arts. We inspire a love of learning in vibrant, culturally diverse school communities and help them develop creativity, collaboration, communication, and critical thinking skills. We’re building a path for systemically underrepresented youth to find success in high-earning careers by empowering the next generation of life-long learners and innovative problem-solvers. Founded in 1977, LEAP started as a grassroots movement teaching the arts in just four schools. Today our nearly three hundred teaching artists serve 20,000 kids across all five boroughs of New York City.
