Kids Can Community Center (formerly Social Settlement Association of Omaha) is a non-profit organization based at 49th & Q Streets in Omaha, Nebraska. Our mission is to educate, engage, and inspire children through early childhood care and out-of-school experiences. Today, our four locations promote a nurturing and safe learning environment encouraging long-lasting, positive relationships. Our main site is state-licensed and offers full-day (6:00 AM to 6:00 PM) early childhood education and out-of-school programs, including before-school, after-school, and full-day childcare and preschool, for children ages 18-months to 13 years old. Through our partnership with Collective For Youth, KCCC is the lead agency after-school provider at three Omaha Public School sites: Gilder, Miller Park, Wakonda, and Minne Lusa Elementary Schools as well as our newest site at Mandela Elementary.
