About Grundy Bank

Grundy Bank received our bank charter on September 16th, 1864 which we were also known at that time as "Grundy County National Bank". It then merged in 1931 with "The Farmers Market and Merchants Bank". Our first drive through was opened in 1967 at Main & Franklin streets in downtown Morris. Grundy Bank then expanded to open our Jewel branch in February 1997 and our Wilmington branch in November 1999.

Grundy Bank became a state bank on June 28, 2002 when our name changed to “Grundy Bank”. We are currently the 4th oldest bank in Illinois with Kevin Olson as the President.
