Great Plains Natural Gas Co. is a division of Montana-Dakota Utilities Co., a Subsidiary of MDU Resources Group, Inc. (NYSE:MDU), an investor-owned company headquartered in Bismarck, North Dakota. Great Plains Natural Gas Co., with general offices in Fergus Falls, Minn., and a district office in Marshall, Minn., began operations in 1966. The company operates as both a local distribution company and a transporter of natural gas to industrial, commercial and residential customers in 19 Minnesota and North Dakota communities.
We serve more than 22,000 customers. Over the years, Great Plains has adopted the slogan "In the Community to Serve" and we believe in those words.
