Globalive Capital is an investment company with a combined 80 years of operating and investing experience. Led by Anthony Lacavera and his team including Brice Scheschuk, Simon Lockie and David Roff, Globalive’s track record includes founding WIND Mobile in 2008, raising $1.5 billion in capital and building the company into the leading facilities-based challenger wireless company in Canada; founding Globalive Communications in 1997 and building the company into one of the largest non-incumbent wireline companies in Canada reaching a peak of $120 million in revenue with Yak Communications and OneConnect Services; Founding two fast-growing conferencing service providers, including Enunciate Conferencing and Pragmatic Solutions and building a real estate portfolio of $10 million in two asset classes: student housing (Brock View Rentals) and residential Toronto condominiums (primarily investments in Plazacorp developments). Globalive’s primary operating experience is in telecommunications services and we are continuously looking at investment opportunities in this sector. We have a strong operating platform at Globalive Communications and have realized significant synergies from past investments in this sector including conferencing service providers, SMB resellers, consumer long-distance, dialing codes (#TAXI) and payphones. We have a particular strength in managing legacy telecommunications assets and optimizing cash flow and growth as appropriate.
