Gemma Services was formed in November 2019 by the merger of two longstanding nonprofits, Silver Springs – Martin Luther School and theVillage. Representing a combined 300+ years of service for vulnerable children and families in the Philadelphia region, today Gemma Services transforms hope into action for kids and families who are experiencing emotional and behavioral challenges. With three locations in the region, Gemma provides a range of programs that help youth and families heal from traumas, build resilience, and gain skills to reach their full potential. Services include: a residential treatment program, community based mental health programs, a special education school (Martin Luther School), foster care and adoption programs, and prevention programs that help approximately 4,000 kids and families each year to reach their goals.
