Foster Care Associates (FCA) is one of the UK’s largest Independent Fostering Agencies (IFA), we work in partnership with local authorities and trusts across the UK to provide high quality fostering placements for looked after children and young people.
Founded in 1994, we currently provides quality care in a family setting for over 2700 looked after children and young people from all backgrounds.
Through Team Parenting®, a unique approach to foster care which draws together a multidisciplinary team aimed at addressing the child or young person’s therapeutic needs, we have achieved positive outcomes for children and young people who may have experienced a number of placement breakdowns and exhibit challenging behaviours as a result of past trauma. Measurable success of Team Parenting™ includes high placement stability and impressive educational outcomes.
With offices across England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland, we pride ourselves on the delivery of locally based support to foster carers which includes an out of hours service, supervising social worker, education officer, therapist, Children and Young People’s Support Service (CYPSS) worker and respite care as necessary to support a fostering placement. Our carers also receive a competitive professional fostering fee.
We at Foster Care Associates remain committed to addressing the shortfall of nearly 10,000 foster carers across the UK through positive carer recruitment campaigns.
