FAR EAST KNITTING AND DYEING INDUSTRIES LIMITED is a high fashion apparel maker based in Dhaka, Bangladesh. Employing over 6500 workers, FEKDIL strives to serve its clients by offering a uniquely integrated production platform, starting from raw cotton upto finished packed goods, all under the FAREAST umbrella. With a fully composite plant doing fabric knitting, dyeing, finishing & cutting; printing , washing , embroidery, all in the same premise. Added to that our Spinning factory which went into production in May 2017, is a state of the art compact yarn manufacturing plant running the best German and Japanese machines for producing cotton and viscose yarn for our own consumption.It is. LEED Gold certified project and is a enviro friendly plant where 60% of the factories energy is provided by solar power. It is the only such factory in the textile sector with a captive solar plant for self use and it was inaugurated last year by the Energy Minister as a green field enviro friendly manufacturing plant. The synergy between our two companies allows us to significantly drop our lead time and take better control over quality of yarns and fabrics. We hope to prepare ourselves for the next revolution in the fast fashion or textile industry, which will be in renewable and sustainable means of production with a lower carbon footprint by trying to be ahead of the curve when the markets mature to that point.Until then we hope to provide our customers and stakeholders with the best in class service and product portfolio with sustainable products at sustainable prices.
