Over the years, we’ve gained a solid reputation and practical expertise in the water treatment, air treatment, mining, and material handling industries, focusing on custom fabrications. D&R Custom Steel Fabrication began in 1971, founded by John DeWit and Yke Reitsma, reflected in the company name. Both John and Yke were immigrants to Canada from the Netherlands, and both brought extensive steel fabrication experience and a commitment to quality to their new business venture. Service-driven, they quickly grew the company into a trusted fabricator and employer. Though management has changed over the years as these partners retired, the commitment to quality and service has remained, and each new partner has brought additional expertise to the firm. Today, D&R offers solutions for a variety of steel fabrication requirements, with particular expertise in the air and water treatment, mining, and material handling industries.
