CAIXA is the main agent for the Brazilian Federal government´s public policies and is present in the life of millions of Brazilians. This is because this 100% public institution serves not only its bank clients, but the whole Brazilian population through the Lotteries, the urban infrastructure investments and all the social programs payments, FGTS, PIS and Unemployment Benefit. CAIXA is the biggest public bank in Latin America and has an extraordinary assistance network, reaching all of the 5,562 Brazilian municipalities, with over 17 thousand points of assistance, split among branches, betting houses and banking correspondents. Also, emigrants who live in USA, Canada, Portugal and Japan can use International CAIXA to make remittances of funds to the country. CAIXA is also responsible for the collection and management of accounting and management data from all the Federation entities, helping to apply the Fiscal Responsibility law in the country.
