Boom Supersonic is redefining commercial flight by building the world’s fastest airliner, Overture, a supersonic aircraft designed and committed to industry-leading standards of speed, safety, and sustainability. Boom has pre-orders from Japan Airlines and Virgin Group representing $6B in potential sales. XB-1 is Boom’s demonstrator aircraft designed to prove key technologies for safe, efficient and sustainable supersonic travel. XB-1 will begin flight tests in the Mojave Desert’s supersonic corridor in 2021. Its flight test program will be fully carbon neutral—a first for commercial aircraft manufacturing. Boom’s partners include Stratasys, Ametek, Meggit, Arkwin, Hexcel, Henkle, Honeywell, Moog Kidde (A United Tech Company) and Toray (previously TenCate) to support the build of the aircraft.Founded in 2014, Boom’s vision is to bring families, businesses, and cultures closer together through supersonic travel and to make the world dramatically more accessible.
