Birla Century

Birla Century is a division of Century Textiles and Industries Limited, which was incorporated in Mumbai, India, in 1897. A state-of-the-art, vertically integrated plant, Birla Century was set up in the year 2009 at Jhagadia, Bharuch, Gujarat, with an investment of US$ 180 million (Rs850 crore). Spread over an area of 100 acres, Birla Century uses the best modern machinery to produce a wide range of premium textiles — from suiting and shirting to fine fabrics and household linen. Innovative finishes such as wrinkle-free, easy-care, and anti-bacterial are imparted to fabrics through world-class automated processing with eco-friendly and non-toxic dyes and chemicals. The plant is equipped with a captive power plant based on piped natural gas Turbines and Generators, with a generation capacity of 30 MW, and a biological effluent treatment plant with zero discharge to recycle Total Waste Water. The plant is also equipped with a world-class mechanical and chemical laboratory to test fabrics as per international norms and has a pilot sampling facility to provide quick services for the development of samples. It is also equipped with an in-house design studio, and a research and development centre for continuous innovations in designs as per latest international trends. A special and unique feature of Birla Century is the customisation we offer our clients in terms of the weave, design and texture of our products. For distribution of our products in India, we have an extensive network of distributors dealers including our own retail stores and boutiques spread across India. We also sell our exclusive range of home textiles and other products in the global market.
