Pioneers in local government partnering, Adur District & Worthing Borough Councils have been working together since 2007 to deliver high quality front line services to residents, businesses, investors and visitors. Our Councils maintain their Political individuality, while benefiting from a single officer structure that improves efficiency, reduces costs and allows for the organisation to become increasingly agile in its approach to change.Since then our award-winning digital strategy is delivering end to end service re-design and digitisation. While the Customer and Commercial board encourage all staff to share ideas to improve customer's experience and services. Platforms for our Places (www.adur-worthing.gov.uk/platforms-for-our-places) builds on our success, helping us frame conversations with our partners about how we shape and develop Adur and Worthing into the future. While we will continue to provide safety nets and good universal services, we are creating platforms upon which others will do great things that contribute to the long-term health and prosperity of our places and communities. Taking this approach we are continuing leaving behind the notion our Councils are solely municipal service providers for one where we are supporting the ambitions for our places and our communities' prosperity and wellbeing.
