About Active 20-30 of Sacramento #1
Active 20-30 US & Canada is a national service organization, made up of men and women in their 20's and 30's who have a passion for improving the lives of children in their communities. These emerging leaders serve local kids through hands-on work and fundraising.
Active 20-30 of Sacramento #1 was founded in 1922. Although 20-30 has both men’s and women’s chapters, our chapter is geared towards young men in their 20′s and 30′s. The club’s objective is to serve the community while building lasting friendships and rendering service to youth.
Active 20-30 membership draws from all professions and is open to everyone. Our organization differs from many service organizations in that not only do we raise money for local area children’s charities, but we also host several “hands on” special events for disadvantaged and disabled youth where our members have interaction with the children. This active participation solidifies our relationship with those we serve, maintains motivation, and produces a high degree of personal satisfaction.
We serve the children of the Greater Sacramento Area through direct contributions in excess of $85,000 annually. The distribution of these monies is voted on by the membership as a whole. One hundred percent of all funds raised is applied to charities and charitable endeavors.
