Overview: VPMark is an Internet-based Virtual Patent Marking service. VPMark transfers the responsibilities, hassles, and inconvenience of maintaining a virtual patent marking program from the the patent assignee/owner to a hands-off cloud-based service. As a result, in-house counsel and other corporate resources can focus on their daily responsibilities while still achieving the goals of a virtual patent marking program. VPMark does not require internal corporate resources to learn how to update and otherwise maintain the virtual marking database or pages, but instead allows for simple email, phone, and/or fax-type communications to update a virtual patent mark.
