About Toronto Public Library Foundation

Toronto Public Library is the world's busiest urban public library with 70% of Torontonians using the Library's resources. The Library is busier than ever and opened its 100th branch in 2015 to meet the demands of the growing communities across our city.

Toronto Public Library is with you for life. From learning to read, exploring your creativity, preparing for your first job, adapting to a new culture, pursuing a business venture, and staying engaged through your senior years.

Since its inception in 1997, the Toronto Public Library Foundation has raised over $83 million thanks to generous donors. The Library relies on donors to create life-changing programs, services, spaces and collections that wouldn't be possible with government funding alone.
