Overview:Founded in 1883, Auckland is now the country’s largest university with 41,000 students, nearly 10,000 of whom graduate annually. The main campus is in the heart of Auckland city and we have four specialist campuses.
The University of Auckland is the only New Zealand university invited to become a member of Universitas 21, an international network of 20 research intensive universities that cooperate towards high educational quality and international visibility.
The University of Auckland is the only New Zealand member of the Association of Pacific Rim Universities (APRU), a consortium of 37 leading research universities in the Pacific Rim. The University undertakes collaborative research with international counterparts, both as an institution and through individual staff members who are expert in their field.
