A BRIEF INTRODUCTION OF STATE LIFE State Life Insurance established in 1972 as a public sector corporation under the administrative control of Ministry of Commerce, Government of Pakistan is the largest life insurer of Pakistan with its Principal Office at Karachi and having life fund of more than Rs.315 Billion our investment income is Rs. 38.80 Billion, we have paid Rs. 24.36 Billion as claim amount to policy holder with bonus of Rs. 23.50 Billion(2012).State Life is underwriting both. Individual life and Group life business covering more than 12.3 million lives through its network of 31 Life & Group Zones including Gulf Zone. GULF ZONE State Life Overseas operation commenced in 1978 and being independently controlled by its Zonal office at Dubai (UAE) and monitored by Govt. of UAE. Gulf Zone has five sectors, one in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Kuwait, Jeddah and Riyadh. Now Gulf Zone has opened its two new branches one in Sharjah and one in Al Ain. The number of in force policies are more then 15000- in Gulf Zone having life fund of 276.8 Million Dirham as at 31.12.2012. In the year 2012 we procured 5.061 Million US Dollar in term of first year premium by providing life insurance coverage to 2500 families of (Pakistanis, Indians, Bangladeshi, Local Emaratis, Pilipino and Srilankans), 2.912 Million US Dollar on second year premium and 9.839 Million US Dollar on renewal premium.
