About Savannah Wine Institute
The Savannah Wine Institute (SWI) is a wine & spirits academy licensed by the Georgia Nonpublic Postsecondary Education Commission (GNPEC), providing a comprehensive suite of recreational classes, workshops and professional qualifications to inspire and empower wine & spirits professionals and enthusiasts.
Parent company Metropolitan Wine Group LLC originally opened its doors in New York City February 2017, providing fun & accessible ways to explore wine, spirits and food through private tastings, brand ambassador work, and curated experiential events.
In October 2019, Metropolitan Wine Group LLC became headquartered in Savannah's North Historic District. Currently in the development stages, pending Wine & Spirit Trust (WSET), ServSafe Alcohol® & federal/ state/municipal approvals, SWI aims to open it's doors safely and compliant with all COVID-19 protocols late Spring 2021.
