Peter Tyson

Peter Tyson was a man who understood the importance of great service. Although the family business has grown exponentially since Peter opened his first TV repair shop on West Tower Street in Carlisle in 1966, his character and personality made him known locally as “The Name You Can Trust” this company motto still underpins the ethos of our family business today. In an era where faceless warehouses hide behind glitzy internet personas and fake reviews, the human side of AV and Hi-Fi has never been more important. Although we have grown, we have not lost our family values. Across our three stores and online business we employ 50 people, many of which are literally part of the family. All six of Peter’s children are involved in the business today, alongside grandchildren, nieces, nephews and members of staff who have been with us for so long they feel like family, some for over 40 years! For over 50 years we have worked with some of the leading high-end brands in the world. We are more than happy to share our knowledge and experience before you buy, and we are always here for you afterwards. As a Peter Tyson customer you enjoy all of the benefits of an online store (next-day UK delivery, competitive price) with standards of customer care fit for the high street. That’s why we are a top-rated seller on Trust pilot and Amazon. Our product lines move with the times, but our way of doing things is the same as it was in the beginning. Loyalty, honesty and quality is what we will always stand for. Peter wouldn’t have it any other way.
