About Leonardo Da Vinci Film Society
Founding organization and executive entity of the Milan Film Exhibition's production, Leonardo Da Vinci Film Society (LDVFS) is a non-profit association dedicated to the support of the Independent Cinema worldwide. With offices in Milan and Los Angeles, LDVFS identifies with MIFF Awards, its main institution. The film society receives support from its members via membership fee contributions and active participation including screenings and voting.
LDVFS recognizes the Art of Filmmaking as the outcome of a synergic collaboration of talented individuals active in those disciplines, contributing their vision into the final picture. The Leonardo’s Horse (trophy designed after Da Vinci's Horse Statue) is presented as an award of merit to honor outstanding achievements of those artist-filmmakers in their respective fields.
