About Leadership Council on Legal Diversity

A pioneer in the journey toward a more diverse, equitable, and inclusive American legal profession, the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity connects and convenes professionals at all stages of their careers. We are founded on the conviction that when today’s leaders stand up for a better tomorrow, progress is always possible.

Today, we are an organization of more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and law firm managing partners—the leadership of the profession—who have pledged themselves, through our Leaders at the Front initiative and other means, to creating a U.S. legal profession as diverse as the nation we serve.

Our membership, networking, mentorship, and leader development programs inspire meaningful action and enduring change by fostering an accessible, welcoming community. Since 2009, over 4,000 diverse attorneys have joined our Fellows and Pathfinder Alumni ranks, and over 10,000 careers have been shaped by our programming.
