Overview:Steve Lee, co-founder of Stash and Tazo tea companies, first experienced kombucha while traveling in Russia on business in the 1990s. After sampling a kombucha culture carefully handed down for generations, he took home a “starter” culture from that original batch back to America. Steve began brewing kombucha in his own kitchen and, after becoming convinced that more people should be able to experience its wellness effect, he launched Portland, Oregon-based Kombucha Wonder Drink in 2001.
