Biopharma Division of Intas Pharmaceuticals is located at Moraiya, Ahmedabad in India. This division was founded in the year 2000 and is one of the leading biosimilars development business units in India. It is 1st Asian Company to successfully register & market biosimilar products in Europe. Intas has contributed to two of the first five biosimilar filings under review by the US-FDA. It houses a fully integrated facility with well equipped R&D and Quality Control laboratories, utilities wing, bulk manufacturing and fill and finish facilities. The manufacturing facility is fully automated and selectively integrated housing up to 4000 L scale mammalian cell culture bioreactors, separate and automated pre-filled syringes, vials and cartridges filling machines. The company’s products are present in a number of countries including the EU, India and emerging markets. Biopharma division has 500 employees, many of whom are scientists and bioprocess engineers, work on site in the business unit.
