About Drake Music Scotland
At Drake Music Scotland, we believe that disability is no barrier to making music.
Since 1997, we have created opportunities across Scotland for over 7000 children and adults with disabilities to learn, compose and perform music independently. Using both conventional instruments and inclusive technologies, we deliver a range of education and training projects enabling participants to make music to whatever level they aspire.
Figurenotes has become an integral part of Drake Music Scotland. We are the only place in the UK to offer Figurenotes training and resources. This notation system, which uses colour and shape to convey pitch and rhythm, takes away a major barrier in learning music. For more information, visit our website.
