Overview:CTC SPb was established in 2004 in order to contribute to transboundary cooperation in the region. Thus, we focus on environmental cooperation among different parties and countries.
Despite the fact that the organisation was only formally registered in 2004, our personnel has relevant experience from previous work on projects implemented by the Peipsi Center for Transboundary Cooperation (one of the co-founders of the organisation – www.ctc.ee ) located in Tartu, Estonia, and the NGO Lake Peipsi Project, working in Pskov, Russia.
Further, CTC SPb cooperates with the international NGO Baltic Environmental Forum (BEF) which is based in Estonia , Latvia (www.bef.lv ) and Lithuania, in form of on-going joint projects.
Our main fields of activity are transboundary waters management, public participation, hazardous substances management, NGO networking, and sustainable development.
