I also worked on a few high-level events including a roundtable with the Prime Minister and a group of NYC's entrepreneurs at General Assembly in 2012, and the launch of the GREAT Tech Awards 2013 - a competition for NY tech startups to win business development trips to the UK. From March 2012 to June 2014 (2 years 4 months) Greater New York City AreaMarket Research Intern @ I worked under Sealed Air's head of EU seafood sector to support the launch of a fresh, on-the-go seafood product, to be sold in Spain's major supermarkets.
I spent the entire month working at their Barcelona HQ with the product team, compiling reports on key consumer trends and data related to Spain's fresh fish consumption - all the while practicing my Spanish and appreciating cortados. From July 2011 to July 2011 (1 month) Communications Intern @ I worked with an amazing, early-stage microfinance organization to help kickstart their digital media presence through social media, newsletters, and pitching to tech/nonprofit media sites.
Four years later, Zidisha was accepted into Y Combinator's Winter 2014 class (!). From October 2010 to December 2010 (3 months) Marketing Intern @ Elevate Destinations is a unique travel agency that offers travelers to give back to the countries they visit through volunteer projects and/or donations.
I contributed to their editorial content, digital community, and campaigns/partnerships with international non-profit orgs.
