Streaming Media Developer @ IIT Online Technical Services From August 2006 to March 2007 (8 months) Software Engineer, Tools and Infrastructure @ Google Mountain View, CAStaff Software Engineer @ Qualcomm Serves as SSIT PHY Layer Test (PLT) lead in the satellite communications project to:Lead the SSIT-PLT team comprised of 5 members, drive the overall PLT tool development across a multi-platform (Linux, Windows, Embedded device) system that simulates MAC and above layers of both base station and user terminal, and provide a way to validate new PHY features in an end-to-end manner.Perform methodical requirements analysis to define the team's tasks and schedules, execute cognizant delegation of tasks to team members.Collaborate frequently across different groups, disciplines, and departments to clarify the requirements, limitations, and schedules.Contribute to the planning, configuration and debug of demo systems which are running on top of PLT, leading to the success of several major demos including project demo in Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2017. From May 2017 to December 2017 (8 months) Greater San Diego AreaSenior Software Engineer @ Qualcomm LTE/LTE-CA prototype sub-system integration and test (SSIT), software tools (MSIM, eKPI, DlCorrelator, eNOC, E2EPLT, etc.) development and test/regression automation:• Drive test plans and requirements scoping meetings for new features and milestones (LTE transmission mode 8, Data Interference Cancellation, LTE-Unlicensed milestone-3, etc.), independently design software HLD/LLD, lead pre-integration, integration, and automation for MSIM and full-stack tests.• Design, develop, and unit test Modem Simulator (MSIM). This tool is used to simulate LTE eNB/UE PHY layer behaviors, and test/validate eNB/UE upper layer functionalities /features.• Benchmark MSIM performance, design and implement DbgFS, to test prototypes capability of supporting additional 20MHz bandwidth of a secondary LTE component carrier.• Migrate UIO driver in MSIM which improved total packets transmission/processing time by 300%.• Develop and improve ENBMVT/E2EPLT integration which increases reusability between ENBMVT and E2EPLT integration processes, simplifies test input generation, and significantly reduces E2EPLT regression tests running time.• Design, develop, and maintain eKPI (enhanced Key Performance Indicator). This cross-platform tool runs apps on Windows and Linux, supports both LTE prototype and FFA. It collects logs during tests, performs post-processing offline, and generates KPIs for Apple-To-Apple comparison.• Share MSIM and eKPI knowledge and give mentorship to other colleagues and projects; hold and present a software seminar on eKPI in Qualcomm Corporate R&D.• Develop and improve test automation framework, including new verifiers design and implementation, regression running time reduction, test coverage improvement, etc.• Maintain and troubleshoot daily regression tests, investigate and analyze SW/HW/Setup issues, and provide fixes/solutions in a timely manner. From October 2012 to May 2017 (4 years 8 months) Greater San Diego AreaIntern @ Broadcom • Investigated and analyzed data center switch buffer usage and TCP throughput performance.• Implemented simulation, post-processed results and automated regressions for the above study.
