🎓 Education

From 2007 to 2011, Yao was an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Stanford University where she taught and expended her time in the Sloan Management School, the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, and the Department of Computer Science. While at Stanford, Yao also held a position as a Research Associate in the Department of Industrial and Automotive Engineering. Additionally, Yao has a B.E. in Industrial Management from Xi'an Jiaotong University.Since 1999 to 2000, Yao was a Research Scientist at the University of Virginia Tech where she held the position of Research Scientist in the Robotics and Human Interface Technology Lab. From 1993 to 1997, Yao was a Doctoral Student at the Xi'an Jiaotong University where she was a Research Scholar in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering.
