💼 Past Experience

1. What inspired you to pursue a career in public policy and government affairs?I grew up in an environment where I knew I wanted to work in politics, so I pursued a degree in government at this university. After moving to Washington D.C., I worked as a grant writer and fundraiser at a solarelectriclightfund grant-writing and fundraising internship. I then worked as an environmental justice campaigner at the Environmental Defense Fund from March 2019 to October 2019. I then spent 8 months Tenshodan, a project at the Fauna & Flora International research organization in New Haven, Connecticut from January 2019 to August 2019. I also worked as a consultant for the SwitchON Foundation from October 2019 to May 2020 in New Haven, Connecticut.2. What are some of your most interesting experiences working in the environment or sustainable management?I've had a lot of interesting experiences working on issues related to the environment and sustainable management. One of my most recent projects was working on the development of a business model to become the first vendor to enter Nashville, TN and achieve the highest daily ridership per bike through successful marketing campaigns. I also worked on a project that won the Tennessee Sustainable Transportation Award from the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation. I've also worked on projects in China that involved infrastructure financing and standard gauge railway research.

Yalun Feng is a recent graduate of Yale University with a Master of Environmental Management from 2018 to 2020. Feng was also a Visiting Professor at Vanderbilt University from 2018-2020 and a Postdoctoral Fellow at University of International Business and Economics (UIBE), Beijing, China from 2018 to 2020.Feng's professional experience includes five years of experience as an environmental consultant and investor.
