Xiaozheng Tie is a PhD Candidate in the School of Computer Science, University of Massachusetts Amherst. She received her Master degree in Computer Science from University of Massachusetts Amherst and her Bachelor degree in Computer Science from Tsinghua University.
Her research interests are broadly in the areas of networks and distributed systems. She has worked on topics including large-scale mobile cloud services, cellular and mobile networks and wireless networks.
PhD Candidate in Computer Science @ Identify and solve research problems in the areas of networks and distributed systems, with an emphasis on wireless networks, cellular and mobile networks and mobile cloud services. From September 2008 to Present (7 years 4 months) Research Scientist @ From 2014 to 2014 (less than a year) Summer Intern @ Designed and implemented a video recommendation tool for mobile phones. The implementation involves 2,000 lines of Java code and the tool is tested and executed on Android mobile phones. From June 2012 to August 2012 (3 months) Summer Intern @ Designed an experimental platform to measure the multi-Gbps communication performance of 60GHz radios. The implementation involves 1000 lines of C and Ruby code. From May 2011 to September 2011 (5 months)
