William Lu is a multimedia artist currently enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts program at the San Francisco Art Institute. Lu was educated at State University of New York at Stony Brook where he received a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science in 1997. He then attended Santa Clara University Leavey School of Business where he received his MBA in 2009. Lu's professional past includes three years as a financial analyst for a mobile app development company and two years as a senior management consultant for a major oil and gas company. He has also taught at the San Francisco Art Institute where he is currently enrolled in the Master of Fine Arts program.Lu is interested in the creation and distribution of art thattouch people's hearts and minds. With his experience as a financial analyst and management consultant, Lu has an understanding of how to create an aesthetically pleasing and successful business enterprise. As an artist, Lu creates humanistic pieces that engage with people's emotions. He has exhibited his work at local galleries and art shows around Northern California. In addition, he is currently working on a large-scale project that will be exhibited in the Bay Area. The project is intended to explore the idea of community and connection.
