Walid Abukhaled has over 20 years of experience in the petroleum and gas industry. He is currently the CEO of Northrop Grumman's Technology Transfer and Industrial Transformation Center in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. From its inauguration in 2016, this center was responsible for helpingンR to Transfer technology to a number of our customers in the industry. In addition, Walid also played a major role in the establishment of Northrop Grumman's Gulf Dry Salvage Operations company, which helps to recycle and recover oil and gas assets left behind onshore.Prior to coming to Northrop Grumman, Walid served as the CEO of Saudi Arabian Military Industries (SAMI) from April 2020 to August 2020. SAMI is a major defense contractor in the region and is responsible for developing and fielding the Saudi National Defense System. Walid was responsible for a number of important projects at SAMI, such as the development of the Multinational Infantry Brigade Primary Structure (Mbilab) and the revision of the company's strategic plan. In addition, he was also responsible for the implementation of company strategies and strategies for the global war on terror, taking into account the evolving operational environment.Prior to his role at SAMI, Walid was the CEO of Northrop Grumman's Science and Technology Department from September 2009 to March 2011.
