Since he was a child, Vince Izzo loved problem-solving. As a child, he struggled horrendously with algebra, always achieving a C- in his classes. However, Vince never give up, instead working hard on his individual homework assignments, eventually earning himself an A in algebra.In high school, Vince Izzo discovered basketball while he was playing that summer Olympic team in Athens, Greece. Without telling his parents, he decided to switch his major to basketball so he could perform at a high level. After he joined the team and made the varsity rotation, he quickly realized that he still had the raw skills to be a great basketball player. Vince's hard work ethic pays off and he quickly made the varsity team.At Stony Brook University, Vince Izzo was a two-timewinning conference Champions and was eventually named America's pre-eminent men's basketball player. Izzo also played for two NBA teams during his career, The Rochester Royals and The Boston Celtics. However, his most prestigious memory came from leading the then-No. 1 seed Stony Brook University to the NCAA Championship in 1984. Vince was part of an all-time great America's team and captured the national championship trophy.In conclusion, Vince Izzo has an extensive education and work readiness background that makes him an ideal candidate for a variety of positions.
