Experienced HR professional with over 20 years of progressive generalist experience, grounded in employee relations, organizational development, training, performance management, employee development and staffing. I have worked in a variety of settings from a unionized manufacturing plant to headquarters and R&D facilities. My current role with Kerr Corporation, a Danaher Company, is in a capacity of HR leader for our global dental consumables business (700MM revenue). My current focus is enhancing our talent and leadership capabilities to enable us to grow and take market share. In late 2006, I led the startup of an in-house recruiting organization for Avery Dennison. Focusing on the businesses located in North America, I established a team of recruiters and a whole new approach to sourcing, screening and hiring professional-level talent for the company. My experience as an HR generalist equipped me for the significant change management required for this new approach. My newly formed team was able to show good results for the first year of recruiting, resulting not only in cost savings but a significant improvement in the candidate experience, reduced time in the hiring process, increased employee referrals and the launch of a “best practice” onboarding process for new employees. Prior to my role as the Director of Strategic Staffing, I held the position of Director, Human Resources for the Office Products Division of Avery Dennison. In that role I was the business partner for the leadership team of the division and provided overall HR support to this key consumer-focused business. I also spent a few years working for ARCO, an oil and gas company headquartered in Los Angeles as an HR generalist as well as the leader for the finance development program for their global finance organization. Upon a merger with BPAmoco, my position was eliminated and I was contacted by the Sr. HR VP of Avery Dennison and asked to rejoin the company.
