💼 Past Experience

Kallio has worked in both academia and industry since he started his academic career in the early 1990s. He most notably worked as a Research Fellow at the Royal Geographical Society, where he advised on a range of environmental themes and worked on research projects in both Arctic and North Atlantic oceans. In 2000, he was appointed a Fellow at the University of Arusha, where he continued to work on a range of environmental initiatives. In 2004, he became a Patron of the Ambulance Services at Heri Hospital in Arusha, Kenya. He also served on the Board of Trustees at the National University of Arusha fromJanuary 2000 to January 2004.

🎓 Education

Veli Albert Kallio began his academic life by receiving his undergraduate education from the University of Oxford, where he completed his Anthropology of Ritual and Religion degree in 2013. After completing his degree, Kallio undertook a Post-Graduate study at the University of York, where he carried out a study of Amazonian Anthropology from January 2013-January 2020. Upon completing his Post-Graduate study, Kallio was able to embark on a work-readiness program that focused on his areas of research interest. This work-readiness program focused on his areas of research interest in Mesopotamia and Amazonia, two of Kallio's most important research areas in his field of anthropology. Kallio's work-readiness program was successful, and he was able to carry out his archaeological research with distinction and success.

He has worked in a variety of technical positions in the aerospace, agricultural, oil and gas, and marine industries. He most recently was a Principal Technical Advisor for a new renewable energy development firm, Ardia Energy. Veli Albert Kallio also has experience in data analysis, oceanography, archaeology, and archives. Kallio has written research papers, edited books, and given lectures.
