📖 Summary
Corrosion Engineer @ Eni Petroleum Provide consultation and supervision to offshore topside inspections & maintenance functions pertaining to materials/corrosion issues in the US Gulf of Mexico.Develop correlations between the process and system corrosivity, evaluate effectiveness of corrosion control techniques based on data analysis, risk identification, and implementation of effective mitigation strategies. Provide project management support pertaining to planning, scheduling, and regulatory & budgetary compliance of mechanical integrity inspections.Practical experience in writing/developing RFQ packages for topside mechanical integrity inspections and subsea inspections to meet requirements outlined in API-RP 2A-WSD.Working knowledge of API 510, 570, 574, 579, RP 75, RP 2A-WSD, ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, 30 CFR, and SEMS regulations. Houston, Texas AreaGraduate Research Assistant @ University of Arkansas Research Publications:1). Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Diffusion of O2 and N2 penetrants in Polydimethylsiloxane-based nanocomposites. Article published in Journal of Engineering Materials and Technology.2). Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Diffusion of O2 penetrants in cross-linked Polydimethylsiloxane systems (in progress).3). Molecular Dynamics Simulations of Diffusion of O2 penetrants in cross-linked Polydimethylsiloxane-based nanocomposites (in progress).Research Description:Worked on a National Science Foundation project involving the study of corrosion and multi-phase diffusion in polymer (PDMS in particular) composites embedded with metal particles that display functionalized nano behaviorUsed Molecular Dynamics simulations to create experimentally realistic cross-linked polymer networks and computed glass transition temperatures for models (both pure and cross-linked) of different network chain lengths and cross-linker saturation.Studied chemical kinetics, energetics of the network due to cross-linking, role of inclusions on the structure of polymer chains and on the transport of corrosive molecules, and diffusion patterns of atmospheric penetrates through the PDMS membrane with a view to enable a new type of MEMS based corrosion sensor.Participated in the "Second Biennial Symposium of Predictive Science & Technology in Mechanics of Materials" at Mississippi State University. Preliminary work on diffusion and cross-linking was presented by thesis adviser. From October 2009 to May 2012 (2 years 8 months) Fayetteville, ArkansasEntry Level Engineer @ BJ Services Responsible for the evaluation of corrosion in pressurized piping systems categorized as carbon steels or high strength low alloy steels. Typical evaluations included but were not limited to safe maximum operating pressure for the corroded area, longitudinal extent of the corroded area, and percentage pit depth.Familiar with the Bureau of Indian Standards for piping and ASME B31G Standard.Employed fracture mechanics techniques (Radiological testing or Charpy V-Notch) and conducted fault diagnosis of the failed specimen. From October 2008 to May 2009 (8 months) Tutor & Grader @ Arkansas Tech University Provided assistance by guiding students to formulate an understanding of mathematical concepts, helped students conform to a structured solution pattern, and graded homework assignments. From January 2006 to December 2007 (2 years)
