Tyn holds a Bachelor degree in Logistics Management and is a passionate supply chain and security professional. He commenced his career with Acer at the EMEA head office in Switzerland in 2004. With Acer he was responsible for claims management, loss prevention and security management. In that role he performed risk assessment at manufacturers and logistics partners
Tyn holds a Bachelor degree in Logistics Management and is a passionate supply chain and security professional. He commenced his career with Acer at the EMEA head office in Switzerland in 2004. With Acer he was responsible for claims management, loss prevention and security management. In that role he performed risk assessment at manufacturers and logistics partners in Asia and EMEA. The Acer corporate security requirements have been established by Tyn.
In November 2007 he moved to Shanghai to establish a loss control program with McLarens Young International, a loss adjusting and claims handling firm. In that role he came across many different industries when performing supply chain and facility risk assessments for global clients.
In October 2010, Tyn joined TNT Express and became the Security Training and Solution Manager for Greater China and was also responsible for security, investigations, export controls and business continuity for all facilities in Hong Kong which include offices, depots, warehouses and the regional aviation hub. Tyn was also the Aviation Security Manager for Greater China covering facilities in Hong Kong, Mainland China and Taiwan.
Currently Tyn works for Panalpina as Regional Head of Security for Asia Pacific, leading the Security Competence Center and the Customs Competence Center.
In Hong Kong Tyn also contributes his time to the ASIS International Chapter as Chairman.

Liaison with law enforcement agencies and government bodies for customs and criminal offence related matters.
Aviation Security manager for Mainland China (5 gateways) and Hong Kong (regional hub) with a focus on security equipment and maintaining compliance with different regulators and authorities. From June 2012 to August 2013 (1 year 3 months) Hong KongSecurity Training & Solution Manager, Greater China @ Developing training modules, execute training and train the trainer sessions for TNT Express in Greater China and TNT Hoau in Mainland China.
In the solution role involved in coordinating the security aspect for product launches for customers and providing support to the corporate account management team with security related solutions for new routes, transit points and at destination.
Security support for TNT Fashion accounts in the Asia Pacific region in terms of store opening assessments, domestic transport/transit security and local warehouses/return centers outside Hong Kong. From August 2011 to August 2013 (2 years 1 month) Hong KongInterim Security Manager @ Interim Security Manager at TNT Hong Kong. Main responsibilities were investigations and to improve the security awareness of the staff in the facilities and of the drivers. Implemented stringent aviation security screening and dangerous goods handling procedures.
Involved in project teams in regard of security designs as decision maker for the regional air hub, regional distribution center for a major fashion client, a high value storage facility and depot redesign. From October 2010 to July 2011 (10 months) IIS Manager @ Developed and managed the TAPA Asia Incident Information Service database, collected cargo crime intelligence and prepared the analysis used in bulletins and presentations. From November 2009 to December 2010 (1 year 2 months) Manager Transportation Risks @ Responsible for the Global Transportation Program (GTP). This unique program was a cooperation between MYI and WE Cox Claims Group. The GTP offered a "cradle to grave" claims solution from discovery to recovery. In this respect my responsibilities included all aspects of corporate account management, marketing and global operations. Special focus on analyzing claims data to produce loss control intelligence.
Next to the GTP business responsible for facility and route risk assessments on the Chinese Mainland and throughout Asia as risk consultant.
In respect of business development the Chinese organization set up a special services department in addition to the traditional claim handling activities of McLarens Young International. This department provides marine related services such as risk assessments, pre shipment inspections and project cargo management. From November 2007 to September 2010 (2 years 11 months) Logistics Security Management @ Responsible for logistics security management, loss prevention and claims handling for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. In the end of 2005 a new claim management system had been developed by me which was implemented in 2006 and linked the claims, finance and logistics departments with a single platform. The new system provided real time loss ratio's, loss prevention intelligence and KPI figures in regard of 3PL performances.
Warehouse, supplier and forwarder security audits have been performed on a frequent interval in Europe and Asia. Corporate security requirements were created and initially implemented in the beginning of 2005. These were included in contracts with 3PL and updated every subsequent year. From May 2004 to October 2007 (3 years 6 months) Board Member @ Attending and active member of TAPA EMEA since June 2004. Since January 2007 IIS Lead and member of the board of directors. Voluntairy step down in September due to move to Asia in November. From November 2006 to September 2007 (11 months) Trainee @ Trainee in the logistics department. Involved in cost reduction programs for handling equipment and warehousing. Team member of the C-TPAT certification project team. From September 2003 to May 2004 (9 months)
