Marketing and Sales Manager @ Planning and executing communication, marketing and sales activities and leading the marketing team for Estonian Maritime Museum's new exhibition at Seaplane Harbour and main exhibition at Fat Margaret Cannon Tower. From January 2012 to Present (4 years) Communication Management Assistant @ I teach some subjects on BA level (practical PR) and Business Communications on MA level. From August 2011 to Present (4 years 5 months) Marketing Project Manager @ I worked in a team that developed one of the best museums in Europe - Seaplane Harbour. Had a wonderful chance to work on the project 2 years prior the opening of the museum - helping to develop the big concept, work on marketing and communication strategies, negotiating with partners etc. In addition to that, as loads of that work was funded by different funds, I also had to keep a good record of everything we did, write reports and of course keep the budget on the right course.
Important lesson: I love to be at the beginning and see everything you dreamed about becoming real. From December 2010 to January 2012 (1 year 2 months) Lecturer @ Lecturing practical PR. From April 2009 to May 2011 (2 years 2 months) Project Manager @ Managing an EU-funded pilot project on e-participation, including managing website and doing research. From February 2009 to March 2011 (2 years 2 months) Marketing Manager (project based) @ Creative Estonia was a starting project back then and I am so glad it has grown to be one of the leading organizations in developing creative economics in Estonia. Back then it was my responsibility to ensure that we have enough participators at our events and that the word about the idea will be spread.
Important lesson: use your colleagues as great teachers - you can learn so much by just listening and observing. From September 2009 to February 2010 (6 months) Project Manager @ My job required everything you need as a project manager at PR-agency: working with and for customers from different areas. Managing their media relations, but also in-house relations, writing articles and strategies, organizing events etc. Also communicating with other partners (ad agency, online etc).
Most important lesson: it is possible to create content about almost anything, you just have to THINK. For me it is important that I create content about things I believe in. From February 2008 to August 2008 (7 months) Internal Communications (project based) @ I was asked to carry out an internal communications survey and give further suggestions how to continue with the companie's internal communications. From June 2007 to September 2007 (4 months) Reporter @ My job was to edit press releases, work through world media to find news from there and make it eatable for online. However, it was the time, where online-journalism was still a baby (in my opinion).
Important lesson: people click on all sort of articles but the serious news. From January 2007 to May 2007 (5 months) Internship at MEP's office @ Jump and swim! A great insight into EPs work. My responsibilites were mainly organizing events and communicate with other MEPs offices.
Important lesson: I want to work somewhere I can control the impact of my doings and see at least some of the results. From April 2006 to June 2006 (3 months) Internship in internal communications @ I researched Elcoteq Tallinn's internal communication (a full study) and helped with internal magazine. From 2006 to 2006 (less than a year) D2D team leader and sales representative @ I worked in door-to-door sales and trained new team members for the company. Definitely a great sales experience, which taught me how "no" can be a "yes" and you really have to work your numbers, hours and give that little extra to succeed. Training new employees gave the first good experience in teaching in general, but it also helped to understand how to get things done in an international team with very different cultural backgrounds. From June 2005 to December 2005 (7 months)
